Seller's frequently asked questions

Q: Who decides the value of my property?

A: The price is decided by YOU, the seller. However, it would be foolish to pull this figure out of thin air without taking into consideration the value of neighbouring properties.

Q: What is the easiest way to find out the value of properties in my area?

A: There are a number of websites that provide such information. The market changes all the time and it is always good to speak to as many people as possible regarding the area you live in.

Q: Can I also use estate agent?

A: Yes you can, but make sure you don’t have an exclusive agreement with them. PropertyVisa operates on a commission free basis and you don't have a contract to use our service.

Q: What agreement or contract will I have with PropertyVisa?

A: You will be required to agree with our terms and conditions for the use of the website and the services we offer. See our terms & conditions here. Our partners may also require you to sign or agree to their terms and conditions.

Q: Should I spend more time making improvements to the exterior of the house or the inside?

A: Both. Make the exterior impressive and beautiful and the interior warm and inviting.

Q: Should I stick rigidly to my asking price?

A: This is probably not a good idea. Haggling is something that is expected during a property sale. Stick to your asking price and you could lose yourself a buyer. However, if you're too flexible you could lose thousands of dollars. Find the balance between the two extremes.

Q: How will the potential buyer be able to contact me and make an appointment to view my property?

A: There are several ways this can be done. Firstly, you will have a large for sale sign in front of your property that will show all buyers where to view your property initially. The buyers will be able to contact you by phone, send you a message using our online message system, request an appoint using your online calendar where you can set your availability.

Q: What does Propertyvisa do to ensure maximum exposure for my property listing?

A: Your property listing is advertised on the website, Google Maps (or their Real Estate search application), other free listimg websites and by placing a FSBO sign in front of your property. This provides the exposure required to maximise visitors to your property listing on www.propertyvisa.com.au - See the terms and conditions for more information on the content of your listing.
